BM Valla  traces its history back to  1946 when sales of concrete materials started from Valla at Kjalarnes.  Since these early days BM Valla has been one of the leading companies within the Icelandic construction industry.  Our products include ready-mix concrete, precast concrete, tiles and stones, mortar,  and a variety of other building materials. We also service our customers with regards to structural design and technical services.

BM Valla has enjoyed good and steady growth from the outset. We aim to supply our customers with quality products and building solutions. 1946 Sales of concrete materials started from Vallá at Kjalarnes.

1956 Dry mix Ready mix plant established in Reykjavik.

1974 A new automated ready mix plant put in operation. Capacity 100 cubic meters p.h.

1978 Export of pumice started.

1984 Production of paving slabs started.

1985 Production of prefabricated concrete elements.

1998 First mobile ready mix plant put in operation.

2001 Concrete pipe production bought.

2002 Mortar production bought and merged with BM Valla.

2003 Operation in Reyðarfjörður started.

2003 Sandur Imúr, mortar producer, bought and merged with company.

2003 BM Vallá buys one third in Sementsverksmiðjan.

2003 Möl and Sandur in Akureyri bought and merged with BM Vallá.

2003 Installation and start a mortar production at Norðurhraun in Garðabær.

2005 Ready mix plant bought in Akranes.

2006 Límtré Vírnet bought and later merged.

2008 Smellinn, prefabricated concrete plant bought.
